Why keep or store pictures of ex-love

The new study done by the "Friends Reunited" showed that 21.6% of men, after separation, keep pictures of old ex-love.

Women are more sensitive than men, even 61% of them keep a photograph of her former lover, since they do not want to forget a part of their own, which also make about 56% of men. On the other hand, are men who hide such pictures. Every fifth man admits that as a picture of his ex-girlfriend is hiding from his girlfriend for fear that it will cause jealousy, while the same think so too each of nine female. For this reason men who are burdened conscience, because about 17% of them feel guilty sometimes that for women is 11%. Perhaps the feeling of remorse are also real reason, because a photograph of nine men retain their former women (12%), recognizing that still feel something for them, compared with 5% of women. "It is not surprising that half of us maintains visual memories for partners that we had, because the pictures incite strong feelings which remind us of past times," says psychologist Choir Suite.

"The main reason why people hide pictures (especially men) probably lies in the fear of inciting the jealousy to love the new or the evolution of memory". Partners more mature emotional and more easily accept that in the past had a love in life. Point when they are ready to throw pictures of former love (after separation, divorce, death) is a time when so emotional they are willing to continue forward with their lives. "But it is quite normal for people to store and recall photographs last love because they create a picture file of our lives, whether good or bad it".

Most of us keeps pictures in old albums (48%), while 31% of them hide them in the closet and of course, in basements (12%). About 9% of men recognize that in order pictures of their ex-girlfriends polderë hides in particular through computers.
