Switzerland, a country renowned for order, will host an unusual crowd of over a thousand global anarchists in early August.
Between one and three thousand anarchists are expected to descend on the northwestern municipality of St-Imier, a town of 4800 inhabitants, at the International Meeting of anarchism from 8 until 12 August.
"We wanted to meet with anarchists of all persuasions and from different countries," said an anarchist from St-Imier, while the RFE broadcasts.
Participants will take part in discussions, debates, and mostly will keep alive the flame of anarchy.
The meeting comes 140 years after the fragmentary International umbrella group was formed in St-Imier after clashes between anarchists and Marxists members of the International Workers Association at the Hague Congress.
